The 2014 AEES Annual Conference was held in Lorne, Victoria, Australia, on 21 – 23 November.
Lorne is located on the spectacular Great Ocean Road approximately 2 hours from Melbourne. It’s nestled on the shores of Louttit Bay and has a unique environment where beach meets rainforest (the Otways). The mountains surrounding Lorne bring unique flora and fauna to the region, as well as some of the world’s best walking trails.
Our conference was held at the Cumberland Lorne Resort and we had wonderful dinners at the Mantra Lorne and Cumberland Resorts. At this conference the inaugural Charles Bubb medal of Earthquake Engineering was awarded to Kevin McCue. Stay tuned for photos, news and more.
